Community School of the Arts Foundation believes in the power of the performing arts to transform lives and that the shared experience and exploration of the arts will help students with moderate to severe disabilities.. I wanted to take this time to share with you about the Community School Of The Arts Foundation. programs in the Los Angeles Public Schools, at Alphonso B. Perez Special Education Center, and Santee Education Complex. The very impacts on every student with disabilities in our program, tears come out of my eyes every time I see one of our students, his name is Luis. He was born paralyzed all over his body, he lives in a wheelchair, he always depends on someone to help him at school and at home. When Luis learned about our program at his school he didn’t want to come in, he felt that was impossible to participate in our programs, we just asked Luis to coming and to observed, to make Luis history short after few months the Community School of the Arts Foundation have inspired Luis to get up from his wheelchair for the first time to participate in our programs. Luis is at the Community `School of the Arts Foundation adopted dance program, students with disabilities, Luis started to dream for the first time.
